Job Description

Robert Half Technology is partnering with our Des Moines-based client to identify a C# Developer with strong .NET Core, SQL, and Azure experience. This individual will play a key role in a ground-up rebuild of a critical internal application, modernizing it as part of a broader move from on-prem to a secure Azure environment.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder - 100% Onsite in Des Moines, IA

Project Details

Contract Length : 3 months (potential for extension)
Environment : 100% onsite, collaborative development team
Project Scope : Complete rebuild and modernization of a legacy, lab-built application into Azure

Responsibilities

Lead development efforts for a new application using C# .NET Core.

Design and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure performance and scalability.

Collaborate closely with infrastructure and security teams during the migration to Microsoft Azure.

Implement unit testing and follow best practices for maintainable, high-quality code.

Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and design discussions.

Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance across the Microsoft stack.

Required Technical Skills

C# / .NET Core development experience

Azure (App Services, SQL Database, DevOps pipelines preferred)

MS SQL Server – stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning

Unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit

Strong understanding of the Microsoft technology stack
