Job description

ABOUT THE COMPANY :

Prestige Healthcare Resources, Inc. is a health care company. Prestige currently provides services to over 1,500 patients in two different states and plans to scale to provide care to over 10,000 patients in five different states over the next 3-5 years. One of PHRI's major focus areas advocates and implements an "integrated care" model approach to underserved populations undergoing behavioral health related issues. Other focus areas include, "transforming our community mind-set to self-reliance" and "refocusing health care delivery model to outcome based through a value-based approach." This is an excellent opportunity to join a transformational company with a big heart of restoring hope back to the underserved community and a strong opportunity for growth. ABOUT ROLE :

Substance Abuse Counselors are the ultimate cheerleaders on the road to recovery! They guide individuals and their families as they navigate rehabilitation from illicit substances, prescription or street drugs, alcohol, and other substance-related or behavioral addictions. With compassion, encouragement, and real-life tools, they help people rebuild their lives, rediscover their strengths, and move forward with confidence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

  • Lead inspiring individual and group counseling sessions tailored to each client's personalized treatment plan, using compassion, creativity, and professional best practices.
  • Keep records crisp, accurate, and on time -because great care starts with great documentation.
  • Stay sharp and ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest treatment techniques, assessment tools, justice-system updates, and community resources through trainings, workshops, and ongoing learning.
  • Champion and guide the clinical team -from hiring and onboarding to coaching and performance evaluations-ensuring everyone feels supported and set up for success.
  • Be a steady lifeline during crises , offering support to therapists and clients when they need it most.
  • Continuously elevate the clinical program by assessing what works, identifying improvements, and ensuring we meet client needs, agency standards, and funding requirements.
  • Keep client files, documentation, and reporting organized and aligned with agency policies and compliance expectations.
  • Track client progress and program outcomes in the agency database to keep everything running smoothly and transparently.
  • Turn outcome data into action , using insights to strengthen staff performance, enhance services, and boost overall program impact.
  • Stay committed to evidence-based practices , researching new trends and innovative approaches used across the field to keep programming fresh, effective, and client-centered.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING :

  • A solid grasp of management fundamentals -you know how to lead people, guide workflows, and keep things moving smoothly.
  • A special knack for behavior modification , understanding what motivates people and how to support lasting, positive change.
  • A heart for individuals with emotional and behavioral challenges , paired with the expertise to support them with care and confidence.
  • Top-tier multitasking and prioritizing skills -you can juggle responsibilities like a pro and keep the team on track.
  • A talent for designing, implementing, and fine-tuning systems , making operations smoother, smarter, and more efficient.
  • Excellent communication-written, verbal, and active listening-because you connect with people easily and professionally.
  • The ability to plan, coordinate, and elevate program activities to meet and exceed agency standards, working closely with the clinical or executive director.
  • A collaborative spirit -you work well with clients, families, outside agencies, and your team, creating strong, supportive partnerships.
  • A commitment to confidentiality , handling client and personnel information with integrity and care.
  • A solid grip on management essentials -you know how to guide a team, keep things organized, and make leadership look effortless.
  • A special superpower in behavior modification , helping people build healthier habits and positive change with patience and skill.
  • A heart-and-brain combo for supporting emotionally challenged individuals , understanding their needs and meeting them with empathy and expertise.
  • Boss-level multitasking and supervision skills -you can oversee people, projects, and priorities without breaking a sweat.
  • A natural talent for building great systems , from designing them to launching them and keeping them running smoothly.
  • Knowledge :

  • General knowledge of management principles.
  • Special knowledge of behavioral modification
  • Special knowledge in the care and needs of the emotionally challenged population.
  • The ability to supervise others, manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • The ability to design, implement, and monitor systems.
  • Required Education & Experience -

  • A valid DC clinical license (CAC I, CAC II, LPC, LISAC, LCSW, etc.) - your official badge of clinical excellence.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience , showing you know how to lead teams, guide workflows, and keep operations running smoothly.
  • 5+ years working in behavioral health and SUD programs , with hands-on experience in assessment, treatment, level of care decisions, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • A strong toolkit of counseling approaches and diagnostic skills , with the ability to apply theories and techniques to diverse clients, including those with co-occurring disorders.
  • A curious, research-loving mindset , staying plugged into clinical literature and SUD program development-because you're always growing and always improving.
  • A belief in strength-based care , seeing the potential in every client and helping them tap into it.
  • Solid familiarity with ASAM, ICD-10, and DSM criteria , and the ability to use them confidently in clinical decision-making.
