Job Description
Apogee Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our team. This pivotal role serves as the primary technical liaison between our customers and our internal engineering and sales teams. The FAE will provide expert pre-and post-sales technical support for Apogee’s cutting-edge semiconductor products, ensuring successful design-ins, seamless product integration, and high customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Experience : Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in a Field Applications Engineer, Applications Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role within the semiconductor industry.
- Technical Skills : Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits and semiconductor fundamentals. Hands-on experience with testing and debugging using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers Proficiency in relevant programming / scripting languages (e.g., Embedded C, Python) is highly valued. Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.) and PCB design / layout concepts.
- Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail. Superior verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
- Preferred Qualifications Experience in semiconductor or high-reliability product sectors with emphasis on Power Management Electronics. Knowledge of CAD tools or circuit simulation software.

Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Electronic Engineering or a related engineering field.Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor systems engineering, avionics engineering, power system design or related experience.Demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes : verification and validation planning, FMECA risk analysis, ROI analysis. Preferred Qualifications :Strong understanding of spacecraft subsystems including Power (EPS), Thermal, Propulsion, Communications, GNC, Structures, and AvionicsKnowledge of radiation effects on space systems is a benefit, but not an absolute requirement.Experience with flight or mission operations.
