This subcontractor is seeking a superintendent to join their team on a full time basis. This role requires you to serve as the leader onsite for all installers and field employees for specific assigned projects. You will monitor projects from planning to completion, overseeing tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management. Manage multiple carpenters across various jobsites and assist with toolbelt work when necessary. Adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards is crucial to ensure the safety and security of the construction site. Responsibilities Lead onsite teams for assigned construction projects. Oversee project progression from planning to completion. Manage budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination. Supervise multiple carpenters across various jobsites. Engage in hands-on construction tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Must Have Qualifications 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience. 3+ years of experience reading blueprints and construction documents. 3+ years of experience managing contractors or field staff. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in construction documents and blueprints. Experience in commercial construction, steel stud framing, and carpentry. Knowledge of flooring, drywall, ceiling, metal framing, and retail mixed-use projects. OSHA 30 certification.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.45 - $35.00 / hr.
