Job Description

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered in an accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable manner. This role involves interacting with employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, prioritizing activities that directly affect customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
  • Comply with hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform CT procedures requested by referring physicians.
  • Ensure adequate radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.
  • Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
  • Provide patient education as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with referring physician and radiologist staff.
  • Adhere to service delivery standards in interactions with all customers.
  • Follow accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • NYS Radiology Technologist license (NYS Department of Health).
  • ARRT(R) Certification.
  • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
  • ARRT CT Registration (preferred).
  • NYS Injection certification (preferred).
