Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in managing the logistics and material handling within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, shipping, and relocating materials, as well as maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities :

• Unload trucks, trailers, or other vehicles and move merchandise to the appropriate areas.
• Load finished goods from the production area to appropriate trailers for shipment.
• Relocate materials within the warehouse from one location to another as necessary and move all necessary components from storage to production activities as needed.
• Prepare and fill out necessary documentation on all receiving forms, shipping documents, and production tallies.
• Regularly operate equipment such as personal computers, bar code scanners, telephones, fax machines, and copiers.
• Handle the movement of pallets on and off trailers, racks, and other locations using site equipment, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp equipment.
• Operate bar-coding equipment to move and locate material in all areas of the plant.
• Operate hand or power-driven trucks for receiving, shipping, and production coverage activities.
• Use scales and stretch wrap equipment necessary for distribution activities.
• Maintain department housekeeping and safety standards.
• Follow applicable waste and scrap reduction, recycling guidelines.
• Complete HAZWOPER training and certification if required, provided by the company.
• Adhere to daily production schedules and prioritize job duties to ensure assignments are completed.

Work Environment :

Regularly work an average of 40 hours per week, with voluntary overtime opportunities including weekends. The role requires standing and walking throughout the shift, lifting up to 50 lbs frequently, and performing tasks involving reaching, bending, twisting, and turning. Climbing stairs and crossovers are common. The work environment is mainly indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks, and temperatures are seasonably normal for production operations. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment is always required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hillsborough, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits :
