Summary
Responsible for providing a highly visible and professional armed response to the property to complement existing security programs. ETR team members act as a visual deterrent, intervene and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency situations including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats, and mitigate incidents through early detection and / or disruption of criminal conduct or other potentially violent and undesirable activity. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies and procedures. This position requires specialized training (TBD) and physical conditioning (TBD).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide protection for guests and team members
- Identify and respond to emergency situations including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, weapons incidents, explosive incidents, natural disasters, and a wide range of issues posing a hazard to lives and / or property using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established protocols
- Assist in providing backup to the Security team on calls that have a potential to escalat[e] to violence
- Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures
- Render appropriate first aid to injured persons
- Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons
- Work well with other departments and management as necessary
- Interact with guests and team members in a professional manner and interact with local law enforcement agencies as required
- Perform all duties in accordance with Golden Entertainment Security Department policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
- Perform all other security, training or administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum two years as a law enforcement officer or; armed security or : through service as a military police officer or; on a military special operations team as an operator or; in other workProven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations and / or interacting with challenging patronsAbility to respond to direction and / or orders from supervisory personnel, especially in the context of an active shooter, assault, or other similar situationsProven experience providing high level of guest serviceExcellent guest service skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondenceAble to attend and successfully complete all quarterly firearms training and annual security recertification trainingCompliance with all mandatory training courses and certifications on an annual basisMust be able and willing to successfully complete Title 31 annual trainingMust be at least 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalObtain and maintain all work cards as required by the companyVerify right to work in the United StatesWork Cards
