Job Summary & Description :

Empowered Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team.

In this role, you will build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence, promote independence, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, joyful lives.

As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with each customer to understand their unique needs, support them in achieving their goals, and provide care in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment. Our DSPs serve not only as caregivers but also as mentors, advocates, and trusted companions for the individuals we support.

282 : We are looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a fun, energetic young boy with a big smile and a kind heart. He loves drawing shapes with markers, practicing multiplication, bouncing on the trampoline, and watching phonics videos as he learns to spell. He has an adventurous spirit and enjoys exploring the world around him.

The ideal DSP will bring high energy, patience, and encouragement, guiding him through daily routines such as dressing and using his communication buttons to express his needs. He responds well to verbal cues and redirection, making consistency and clear communication important in this role.

He needs close supervision as he likes to run when unsupervised, and support around taking medication and navigating food preferences.

Schedule : Saturdays from 7 : 00am to 3 : 00pm (flexible).

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Experience with the I / DD community is preferred but not required.
  • Must pass a background check. -
  • Not all charges will warrant a disqualification.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid drivers license, with a good driving record.
  • Musthave your own reliable vehicle, with full coverage auto insurance.
  • Must be comfortable providing respectful support with personal care, including bathroom and hygiene.

Compensation and Benefits :

  • Starting pay ranges from $23$25 per hour, depending on a variety of factors, including experience, certifications, and skills.

  • Keep in touch with County Coordinators and report updates or concerns promptly, ensuring smooth and supportive care.
