Building Maintenance Mechanic
1st shift : 6 : 30am - 3pm
Job Summary : The Building Maintenance Mechanic performs diversified duties involving the repair and service of the building, plant equipment and utilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for maintenance of heat, water, gas, sprinkler systems, air conditioning, carpentry, masonry, sheet metal and other plant systems
- Handles the installation, fixing, and replacement of ceilings, walls, flooring and roofing
- Responsible for wood and metal framing walls, machine crates, etc
- Responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces
- Installs, repairs and maintains a variety of plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, faucets and related equipment
- Interprets blueprints, drawings, specifications and manuals
- Responsible for making emergency repairs to offset production delays
- Maintains building systems such as compressors and evaporators
- Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.

Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basisThe person in this position needs to wear appropriate safety clothing and shoes when needed. This includes a need for safety glasses, ear plugs, protective clothing, gloves, helmet, face shield, and steel toe shoes etc.Must be able to remain in a standing position 90 percent of the timeOccasionally will be expected to lift large material not to exceed 50 poundsMinimum Requirements :
