Summary : Provide essential patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting during night shifts. Assist with patient admissions, orientation, and support nursing care plans by performing delegated tasks. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Major Responsibilities :
Education and Training : High school diploma or equivalent required. Nursing Assistant certification and current registration with the state nursing assistant registry required.
Experience : No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
Skills and Abilities : Excellent communication and guest relations skills. Ability to read and write English. Flexibility in work tasks and schedules. Basic computer skills. Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations. Ability to learn new skills quickly.
Physical Requirements : Ability to work variable shifts including nights. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient turning. Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions. Exposure to blood and body fluids with appropriate precautions.
Licenses and Certifications : Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association and Nursing Assistant certification required.
