Job descriptionControl access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures. Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity within the manufacturing and industrial environment. Perform regular and random patrols of the premises, including the perimeter, to observe and report any security-related concerns or potential hazards. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Document observations, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences in detailed written reports for review by Allied Universal and site management. Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with access control policies and procedures. Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals at the location, representing Allied Universal's commitment to customer service. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer - Access Control Driver
As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at this manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points and conduct thorough patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining a secure environment, while your excellent communication skills will support positive interactions with visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
