To function as the primary client liaison and lead for assigned programs. Negotiates critical program components based on knowledge of client requirements from initial request through contract completion and turnover; this includes recommending supplier and destinations options and solutions. Proactively negotiates prices and contracts. Communicates with account team, client, and suppliers on a timely basis. Follows standard operating procedures for all sourcing activity.
OTHER : May require travel to destinations worldwide, in support of client site inspections (Ability to travel by airplane, boat, rail and / or car). Keep abreast of industry standards and trends related to responsibilities.
Qualifications
1. College degree.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in project, event or meeting management, at least 2 of which include working with Cvent and hotel contracts.
3. Experience in hotel buying, as well as strong knowledge of program / event budget maintenance. Knowledge of travel supplier operations, overall capabilities / range of services.
4. Proven negotiation skills and prior successful experience in developing and maintaining key client and supplier relationships.
5. Knowledge of hotels and destinations globally.
6. Program management system experience preferred
7. Understanding of and ability to effect win / win solutions and prior experience in effectively handle multiple projects / demands.
8. Proven aptitude for technology and / or software solutions and analytical skills.
