Job Title : Water Mitigation Supervisor

Employment Type : Full-time Position Summary :
The Water Mitigation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing water damage restoration and mitigation projects from start to finish. This role ensures that work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards (IICRC) and company policies. The Supervisor leads a team of technicians, coordinates equipment and materials, and maintains communication with customers and insurance representatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and lead water mitigation teams on residential and commercial job sites.
Assist in restoring properties, including tasks such as water extraction, mold remediation, fire damage clean-up, and debris removal.
Evaluate water damage situations and determine appropriate mitigation plans.
Ensure all mitigation work complies with IICRC S500 standards and OSHA regulations.
Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.).
Perform moisture readings and document job progress daily.
Train, coach, and develop technicians in proper procedures and safety.
Coordinate job site logistics, including crew schedules, equipment, and supplies.
Communicate clearly with clients, adjusters, and project managers throughout the job.
Maintain accurate documentation, including job notes, photos, equipment logs, and moisture readings.
Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and secure.
Respond to emergency calls and be available for after-hours work as needed.
Qualifications :
2+ years of water mitigation or restoration experience (required)
Previous leadership or supervisory experience (required)
IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification (required)
Knowledge of industry-standard equipment and drying techniques
Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a strong plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable using mobile apps or restoration software to document jobs
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Able to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined or damp spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Working Conditions :
Work may be performed in challenging environments, including flooded structures, crawlspaces, or attics.
Exposure to moisture, mold, dust, and cleaning chemicals.
On-call availability required, including nights and weekends.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required
