The Role : Marketing & Advertising Project Manager

If you thrive at the intersection of media strategy and performance marketing, advertising technology, and cross-functional execution, this role is for you. As a Marketing & Advertising Project Manager within Slalom’s Advertising Strategy & Agency Services Team, you lead the orchestration of planning, execution, and delivery of complex initiatives driving media, marketing, and AdTech transformation for Fortune 500 brands.

You will manage projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring stakeholders across marketing, media, data, and technology are aligned and equipped to build scalable, privacy-ready media and marketing ecosystems. Your experience in agency operations, media platforms, and AdTech / MarTech systems will ensure successful delivery of key programs and client goals.

Core Responsibilities

Own the delivery of AdTech and digital media initiatives, managing project plans, resource allocations, dependencies, budgets, and timelines. Lead cross-functional project teams that include client stakeholders, agency partners, and technical resources across digital marketing, media, analytics, and technology. Manage AdTech and media platform implementations or migrations, such as CDP rollouts, clean room activations, DSP / DMP configurations, and identity strategy integration. Establish governance and operating models for media and agency management, including documentation of RACI structures, intake processes, SLAs, and KPIs. Define and manage integrated program roadmaps to support in-housing, hybrid agency models, or modernized campaign operations. Partner with strategy and technical leads to ensure project deliverables align with business goals and privacy requirements Run discovery and planning workshops, helping clients identify business needs, define project objectives, and align stakeholders. Track risks, resolve issues, and provide executive status updates, ensuring proactive communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate vendor and platform engagements, including RFPs, onboarding, configuration, and enablement for media and AdTech tools. Maintain project artifacts and documentation, including charters, detailed workback schedules, status trackers, and performance dashboards.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience managing projects related to AdTech, MarTech, digital media platforms, or media operations. Familiarity with media ecosystems and tools such as DSPs (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk), CDPs, clean rooms, MMPs, tag management, and identity resolution platforms. Strong understanding of agency services models (in-house, hybrid, external) and experience coordinating across internal marketing and external partner teams. Skilled in agile and waterfall project management, with expertise in project tools like JIRA, Smartsheet, Workfront, Asana, or MS Project. Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into actionable execution plans and drive cross-team alignment. Comfortable managing media budgets, scopes, and resource planning across campaigns or platform builds. Ability to facilitate workshops and present project updates to senior marketing and technology stakeholders. Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Background

5+ years in digital media, AdTech and / or agency project management, or agency operations. Experience supporting or managing media transformation programs, agency model changes, or AdTech strategy rollouts. PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification a plus. Consulting experience preferred; experience with large, complex organizations strongly desired. Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagements.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This position is eligible to be hired as a Consultant (L2). The base salary pay range for a Consultant is $96,000 to $162,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
