Key Responsibilities of the OB / GYN Sonographer

As an OB / GYN Sonographer, your duties will include :

Performing Ultrasound Examinations : Conduct obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures, including prenatal scans, pelvic ultrasounds, and fetal monitoring.

Patient Care : Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and cooperation throughout the procedure.

Image Capture : Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, including monitoring fetal development and identifying gynecological conditions.

Collaboration : Work closely with OB / GYN physicians and other medical professionals to assess patient conditions and share diagnostic information.

Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and imaging findings.

Safety Compliance : Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection control and radiation safety (when applicable).

Continuous Learning : Stay updated on the latest ultrasound technologies and advancements in obstetrics and gynecology.

Applicant Requirements for the OB / GYN Sonographer Role

To qualify, applicants must have :

BLS Certification (required).

ARDMS Certification in OB / GYN (required).

2+ years of experience as an OB / GYN Sonographer in a clinical setting.
