We're seeking Building Systems Electrical Engineers at multiple levels (Associate, Senior, and Principal) to join our growing team and help shape the infrastructure that drives Panduit's success.
What You'll Do
Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical engineering projects for our facilities and building systems.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure quality, compliance, and project success.
Electrical Systems Design
Design and analyze electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.Conduct system studies, load calculations, and layout development while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA).Evaluate and implement design improvements that enhance performance, safety, and energy efficiency.Documentation & Technical Support
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and as-built documentation using AutoCAD.Support design reviews, technical investigations, and system testing.Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.What You'll Bring
Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.Experience :Engineer Level : 2-4 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
Senior Engineer Level : 5-7 years of experience managing electrical building systems projects.Principal Engineer Level : 8-10 years of experience leading complex electrical design and implementation.Certification : Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within one year.Technical Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.Soft Skills : Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on collaboration and results.Travel : Up to 40%, primarily to local sites (Illinois : Lockport, Orland Park, Tinley Park; Indiana : Merrillville) with occasional international travel.What We Can Offer You
