Provide a short description of the Position : This position will fill a key role on priority projects in support of the New York State Office of Mental Health's mission. The goal of the Legacy Risk Remediation Projects is to rewrite legacy applications built on an aging infrastructure and antiquated technologies into new and currently supported coding platforms. This position will be responsible for UI / UX activities such as wireframing, building mockups and prototypes, providng demonstrations to stakeholders and developement teams, etc
Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate : Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following : 1. Work in a collaborative team environment that includes project management, business analysis, information development, software development and quality assurance. 2. Analyze business requirements to design user interfaces. 3. Evaluate user interface designs and write user interface specifications. 4. Build wireframes using Figma if needed from business analysts. 5. Utilize Figma to build mock ups to demonstrate designs to the team and to users. 6. Provide CSS and HTML of prototypes (upon team's agreement) to provide for use by the development team. 7. Perform accessibility testing of legacy and new UI to ensure they adhere to WCAG standards. 8. Utilize the NYS Design System to ensure all UI remains compliant and consistent.
