• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement as first to float within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh campus (8 miles) and potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (11 miles)
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible, cross-campus mid-shift float unlikely but possible
• 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float assignments
• Patient ratio : Days 1 : 4-5, PMs 1 : 5-6, Nights 1 : 6-7
• 23-bed unit serving cardiac, CVA / TIA, post-surgical, and medical-surgical patients
• Required certifications : Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum experience : Two years of strong Med / Surg experience and 1 travel assignment
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
• Navy blue scrubs required - no hoodies, sweatshirts, or competing health system logos
• Skills include cardiac cath recovery, post-surgical care, neuro assessments, drip management, drain management, catheter care, and blood administration
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Three call-ins can result in contract termination
