About the role
Stryten Energy has deep roots in Lancaster County and operates a growing plastic injection molding operation in West Lampeter Township. We manufacture plastic components for automotive batteries and serve a stable, expanding customer base.
A day in the life
You start by reviewing the CMMS and incoming work orders, aligning priorities with production needs. You brief your maintenance team, set schedules, and assign tasks across building and equipment upkeep. As the day progresses, you oversee work on HVAC and chilled water systems, building lighting and electrical distribution, machinery installations, grounds care, and overall facility appearance. When an urgent issue arises, you coordinate a rapid, safe response that protects people and keeps production on track.
What you will lead
- Full supervisory oversight of the maintenance staff : scheduling, assigning, training, hiring, coaching, and handling performance documentation.
- Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling maintenance activities for production equipment and the facility.
- Executing and improving the preventive maintenance program for both plant equipment and site infrastructure.
- Performing and guiding complex electrical installation and repair work.
- Coordinating responses to emergencies, allocating resources, and ensuring employee safety while minimizing downtime.
- Inspecting in-progress and completed work, recommending improvements where needed.
- Providing technical guidance, resolving issues, approving expenditures, and addressing concerns related to assigned projects.
- Arranging and managing third-party contractors and suppliers; sourcing best-value products and services; overseeing deliveries; and verifying that contractors follow safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
- Contributing to the operating budget; ordering parts and supplies; and tracking spend across materials, labor, and outside services.
- Participating in weekly management meetings and reporting project status and priorities.
- Supporting new construction and remodels, equipment assembly and modifications; determining and designing electrical and mechanical systems; overseeing installation; developing prototypes of new machines and guiding assembly.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and ensuring timely receipt of invoices in the purchasing system.
- Upholding OSHA and Company safety requirements, maintaining orderly work areas, and ensuring the team receives and follows proper safety training.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
Prior leadership experience required.Manufacturing background with knowledge of PLCs, HVAC and chilled water systems, and both electrical and mechanical equipment.Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field preferred; high school diploma with Industrial Maintenance coursework accepted.Strong computer skills : Excel, Word, Outlook, and CMMS.Hands-on capability with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and an understanding of industrial maintenance systems.Clear communication and documentation, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and drive timely completion.Independent problem solving and sound decision making.Experience with budgeting, continuous improvement / Lean, and performance management.High attention to detail; knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA requirements applicable to this facility.Ability to work all shifts and overtime as needed and to follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures.Consistent attendance and performance; reliability is essential.Environment & schedule
This position is based at our Lampeter, PA manufacturing site. The facility operates 24 / 7, and as a member of the leadership team, you must be available at all times for emergencies.
