The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Engineering Supervisor - Substation Diagnostics to lead, support, and grow our technical diagnostic team. This position combines leadership with hands-on technical work—ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence across our electrical testing and diagnostic processes.
You’ll play a key role in driving innovation, integrating new technologies, and maintaining data integrity while fostering a positive, collaborative “Good Place” work environment.
What You’ll Do
Supervise, train, and support the Diagnostic Technical team.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (OSHA, ASTM, IEEE, NETA, and more).
Oversee daily operations and ensure testing accuracy and turnaround times.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate electrical and chemical data for advanced analysis.
Drive innovation in diagnostic technologies, including remote monitoring and partial discharge.
Maintain and improve department systems, processes, and reporting tools.
Lead performance reviews, employee development, and conflict resolution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
2–4 years of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred).
Strong technical background in electrical diagnostics or laboratory testing.
Familiarity with ASTM, IEEE, NETA, and CIGRE standards.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a technical team while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
