Description

The Student Assistant (a Federal Work Study role) will provide administrative support to the department. In addition to performing miscellaneous clerical duties, the Student Assistant will also be required to answer phones, greet visitors, and take detailed messages for staff follow-up, as necessary. The Student Assistant will manage the department's social media accounts, including collaborations with campus partners. They will also be required to assist with various department projects as assigned. The Student Assistant will also disseminate and gather Vector Solutions trainings and data.

Responsibilities :

  • On the DOIE Instagram : post DOIE content; share campus partners' content; engage with other Pace Instagram accounts; implement social media campaigns from blueprints
  • Assist with the design, content, and distribution of the DOIE newsletter, "DOIE in Focus"
  • Assist with program planning and implementation
  • Greet and assist incoming visitors
  • Answer a wide variety of questions related to the department's procedures and other general questions (training will be provided)
  • General clerical duties such as photocopying, shredding, printing, and other duties as assigned
  • Assist with phones; taking detailed messages for staff follow-up as necessary
  • Perform other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
  • Share Vector Solution trainings with faculty and staff via email and gather the incoming data for our Title IX team to review.

Summary

Exact schedule to be determined with supervisor; no more than 15 hours per week when school is in session. No summer, winter, Thanksgiving, or spring break hours. This role requires in-person work mode.

Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Email
  • Social media account management
  • Canva designing
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and patient with visitors
  • Office experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Student must be Work Study Eligible
