Role Description

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Working closely with the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the financial success of the organization.

Responsibilities

Manage the full cycle Accounts Receivable process for all house accounts, from invoicing to collections, preparing reports and reconciliations that ensure accurate recording of revenue and timely collection of receivables. Administer the corporate credit card program and process employee expense reports, ensuring accurate categorization of expenses, compliance with company policies and timely payments. Reconcile key overhead expense accounts, maintain accurate schedules while recording necessary adjustments and accruals. Play a key role in fixed assets accounting, recording monthly additions with proper categorization and useful life assigned, monthly depreciation, write-offs and dispositions. Maintain accurate schedules related to ASC 842 Lease Accounting, preparing and recording monthly entries. Record monthly amortization to reconcile all prepaid balance sheet accounts, providing and maintaining detailed schedules. Assist with ad hoc requests and projects as required, including but not limited to recording of journal entries, reconciliation of ledger accounts and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies Support the external annual audit and corporate tax return preparation by providing necessary documentation and explanations as directed by Controller. Actively participate in the monthly close process, working closely with the Controller and other accounting team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions and adherence to the monthly close calendar. Provide ideas and insights to support decision-making and strategic initiatives and work to implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting function.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA designation a plus A minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience in end-to-end accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and variance analysis Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Workday ERP is a plus) Advanced Excel proficiency required (Index Match, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, etc.), an on-site assessment will be required Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The annualized salary range for this position (plus a bonus) is : $90,000 - $110,000
