Job Title : SAP ABAP Developer

Location : Raritan, NJ (Hybrid)

Type : C2C

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on ABAP development experience, preferably in S / 4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise across various SAP modules (OTC, FTSRTP, FICO) and demonstrate leadership in designing and implementing scalable, high-quality ABAP solutions. Experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing domain is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement ABAP programs , including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
  • Collaborate with business and functional analysts to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Work on Interfaces (ALE / IDocs) , BAPIs , BADIs , RFCs , User Exits , and Customer Exits .
  • Design and develop SAP Smart Forms , SAP Scripts , and Search Helps to support business requirements.
  • Perform data migration and conversion using standard SAP tools and custom programs.
  • Ensure compliance with development standards, best practices, and documentation.
  • Utilize OOPS ABAP concepts effectively in building modular and maintainable solutions.
  • Develop and expose OData services for integration with SAP Fiori and external systems.
  • Provide support in S / 4HANA custom development and modernization initiatives.
  • Lead the effort to define and implement technical standards and guidelines across SAP landscapes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development .
  • Strong technical proficiency in Reports, Interfaces (ALE / IDoc), Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, RFCs, Smart Forms, and Scripts .
  • Deep understanding of SAP Data Dictionary , Lock Objects , and Search Helps .
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills in SAP.
  • Exposure to multiple SAP modules, especially OTC, FTSRTP, and FICO .
  • Proven experience with Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS ABAP) development.
  • Experience with S / 4HANA preferred, including custom code adaptation and CDS views.
  • Proficiency in SAP OData services for Fiori / UI5 applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with Pharma or Manufacturing clients preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of integration tools and middleware is a plus.
