This entry-level position supports communication and marketing efforts by taking clear, dynamic photos or videos and creating social media content according to project specifications. This position is responsible for managing social media accounts across various platforms. They must create content for use on all platforms, as well as keep statistics on platform growth and other relevant KPIs. This role requires leveraging creativity and technical expertise to translate concepts into visual narratives. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities
- Communicate with staff to set time and locations for photoshoots, accompany writers to assignments as needed.
- Maintain and manage photography equipment.
- Use equipment, backdrops, lighting, etc., to achieve objectives.
- Upload, sort, edit, label, inventory, file, and archive photos.
- Collaborate with team and CAEHS faculty / staff to develop and post social media content relevant to current LUCAEHS events and agricultural industry trends.
- Assist with photography for fact sheets, guide sheets, publications, newsletters, etc., as needed.
- Record, edit, and create video content for social media and other events or educational needs.
- Comply with all federal, state, and university reporting requirements.
- Ability to travel some weekends and evenings to outreach centers around the state of Missouri.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Dean.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong attention to detail.Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Canva, and OneDrive.Proficiency with DSLR cameras and all accompanying equipment and software.Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and YouTube.Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Qualifications
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with content creation is strongly preferred.Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on a computer.Prolonged periods of standing and walking, sometimes outdoors.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Position involves occasional travel and evening or weekend work.Salary : $19.23 - $21.63 per hour
