ResponsibilitiesThe Radiologic Technologist is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level.Identify each patient prior to exam utilizing two patient identifiers according to hospital policyGain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questionsPerform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency roomProvide lead protective shield for patients reducing radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievableAccept all assignments as prescribed by the Medical Imaging Coordinator regarding room assignment and work to be completedEnter data utilizing electronic medical recordsPrepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instrumentsMaintain policies and procedures as they relate to HIPAA compliancePerform any and all other duties assigned QualificationsJob Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalentMust have NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technician. Pay Range Minimum : $26.80 / Hr.Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
