The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country with a mission of combating municipal corruption. It serves the people of New York City by acting as an independent and nonpartisan watchdog for New York City government City agencies and City employees vendors with City contracts individuals and entities that receive City funds.
The selected candidate will be responsible for covering the reception desk greeting and directing visitors in person and on the phone using a directory scanning identification card and entering the information given onto an excel spreadsheet recording incoming mail and packages in the agency mail logbook. They will also be responsible for sorting stamping and distributing incoming mail completing copy jobs and bookbinding projects. The candidate should have knowledge of all office machines copiers scanners fax machines binding machines postage and laminating machines. The candidate will create IDs for new hires place orders for supplies when they arrive deliver them to the units and squads assist with Facilities projects escort outside vendors during service calls as needed.
If selected the candidate will be fingerprinted and undergo a background investigation.
