American Traveler is seeking a Neuro-Interventional Radiology Technologist experienced in advanced neurovascular procedures and familiar with Siemens Bi-plane equipment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is located in a hospital-based Neuro-Interventional Radiology departmentPerforms diagnostic cerebral angiograms, coiling, stenting, embolizations, stroke thrombectomies, venous samplings, operating room angiograms, lumbar punctures, and related neurovascular proceduresHandles a combined adult and pediatric neurovascular case loadTypical caseload is 6-8 procedures per technologist, with 3 procedure rooms in totalOperates a Siemens Bi-plane for neurovascular image acquisition, post-processing, and case circulationUses Epic EMR for documentation4x10 hour day shifts with scheduled hours from 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PMBackup is required once weekly to cover procedures that extend past regular shiftsWeekend coverage required every 5th or 6th Saturday (8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM) as neededWeekday call required (4 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM), and weekend call from Friday evening to Monday morningFloating may occur within the service line as neededNo floating to affiliate / sister facilitiesNot open to local candidates within a 75 mile radiusDuties include operating neuro-imaging equipment, assisting neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons, and managing advanced neuro-interventional casesTeam includes a multidisciplinary group of neuroradiologists and neurosurgeonsSome pediatric cases are performed in the departmentScrub attire must be black, red, or whiteParking is available for a monthly fee; orientation parking requires a daily charge and is not reimbursedNo local candidates accepted within a 75 mile radiusMaximum of 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13 week contract; no RTO allowed during orientation weekPermanent employees must wait one year before returning as travelers; maximum assignment period applies with mandatory breaks thereafterCandidate must be willing to float within the hospital’s neuro-interventional service line\n \n Requirements\n
ARRT(R) certification and BLS required; ARRT VI preferredMinimum 1 year of neuro-interventional radiology experience required, 2 years required for first-time travelersExperience with C-arm operation and contrast administration requiredExperience with Epic EMR charting preferredValid state license required if applicable; pending state license accepted for MissouriAbility to operate Siemens Bi-plane and perform neurovascular imaging tasksPhysical ability to assist with positioning for procedures and support neurovascular imaging\n Benefits\n
