Position overview :

This position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Schedule is for day shift Monday through Thursday 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm with Fridays and weekends off. This position is seasonal for a period of up to 6 months and employment may be terminated during that time. There is a possibility that the position may become permanent depending upon company need and job performance.

A day on the job may include :

• Assisting receiving loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing
• Distributing products throughout the warehouse
• Delivering products to customer delivery points
• Performing preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities
• Safely operating a forklift
• Pull and prepare internal orders for transportation
• Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
• Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
• Assist drivers with deliveries as needed
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Other duties as assigned

This job may be for you if you can : Lift, carry, and load up to 50 Lbs. Capable of walking distances. Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling frequently.

This job may be for you if you have : High school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with computers and Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook). Ability to accurately and consistently operate the scanner. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and multi-task. Basic math skills (adding and subtracting).

Extra Awesome : 6 months or more of prior warehouse experience is preferred. Ability to speak Spanish preferred. Forklift Operating Certification preferred.
