The Bon Secours Inpatient Psychiatry and Behavioral Health team is adding a Psychiatrist to the team at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA - Part of the "757" Coastal Hampton Roads / Tidewater Region!

Licensed MD / DO - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Full time position - M-F 8 hour days

Inpatient Adult Psychiatry coverage pr

oviding behavioral health units, consults on medical floors, review of admissions from the ED and external hospitals or providers.

Call coverage :

1 : 5 Weekend Rounding (1 weekend every 5 weeks) 4 : 00 PM Fri - 8 : 00 AM Mon.

1 to 2 week nights per week 4 : 00 PM - 8 : 00 AM

Both include cross coverage from units and admission calls

Practice Support : 1 : 8 - One RN to every 8 patients and 1 : 6 - One Behavioral Health tech to every 6 patients

Great Support and Resources for you and your patients - LCSW, LPC, BSW, Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Recreation Therapist, RN Clinical Coordinators and Nurse Manager.

Average 8-12 patients per day

Patient ages - 18+ and approx. 70% adult, 30% geriatric
