MEDS is an independent, democratic / physician owned group, and services the ED contracts of Singing Rivers Health System (SRHS), which has been in operations for 50 years. MEDS / SRHS : 3 hospitals : Gulfport, Ocean Springs, and Pascagoula hospitals Combined volume : 100k ED visits a year Combined IP rate : 12.5% Combined PPH : 2.2 (goal of 2 with increased staffing) Primary stroke / L3 trauma / STEMI center, SANE exam 24 / 7, crisis intervention program Specialties : general surgery, obstetrics / gyn, pediatrics, psychiatry, cardiology, gastro, ENT, critical care, endocrine, nephrology, neurology, orthopedics / spine, pulmonology, radiology, urology EMR : EPIC / dragon Shift length : 8h, 10h, and 12h Staffing model : combo of doc and APPs.
