Job Title : Part time- Psychiatrist

Hours / week : 16- 20 Hours / week

Location : Lucasville OH 45699

Duration : 6 months to Long term

Shift : 08 : 00am-05 : 00pm (M-F)

Job Summary :

Searching for a board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist to provide on-site services on a part-time basis (16-20 hours / week) to the male incarcerated population. Schedule is flexible based on needs of facility, but core hours are typically between 7 : 00 a.m. and 5 : 00 p.m. Selected psychiatrist will meet with 12-16 patients per 8-hour shift. Caseload is 75-100 patients. Assignment will last at least 6 months if selected psychiatrist is a good fit. Assignment could lead to permanent hire.

Includes :

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
• Managing medication
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
• Participating in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
• Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
