• Located in Lake Charles, LA - Lafayette 75m, Houston 140mFull-time; PermanentEmployed Overview : - Seeking a Cardiovascular Surgeon to join a dedicated team - Opportunity to collaborate with three NPs and our highly skilled board-certified cardiothoracic surgeons - Surgeons utilize state-of-the-art technology and innovative approaches for patients with heart, lung, and cardiovascular diseases - The facility features a new Hybrid OR suite - Center conducts TAVR procedures and Watchman implants - Robotic Da Vinci thoracic surgery cases performed - Minimally invasive cardiac surgeries included in practice scope - Not-for-profit health care system - EMR System : Epic Comp / Benefits : - Salary is commensurate with experience and training - Paid vacation, holidays and CME - Full benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance - Retirement options (401k, 403b, and 457b) - Relocation assistance - Malpractice and tail insurance - Louisiana is a tort-reform state Responsibilities / Qualifications : - Responsibilities include an emphasis on all aspects of adult cardiac and vascular surgery - Candidate should have completed an accredited Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship training program - Must be board eligible or board certified - Preferred qualifications include a broad skill set and interest in all facets of cardiovascular surgery - Specialized interest in aortic surgery and familiarity with catheter-based therapies (TEVAR) preferred - Participation in catheter-based valve technologies (both aortic and mitral) required - Candidate will also lead the vascular surgery services About the Area : Lake Charles, LA, with a population of around 87,000 residents, is a welcoming city located in southwestern Louisiana along the Calcasieu River.
