Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with an active CA license and ARRT(N), CNMT, and NMTCB credentials for a flexible day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
  • Day shifts Sunday through Thursday with variable start times between 7 : 00am and 10 : 00am
  • Assigned 5x8 hour shifts per week
  • No blocked or self-scheduling options available
  • Department performs research PET scans using investigational ligands with limited isotope availability on certain days
  • Use of Cerner EMR; experience required
  • PET scan experience preferred
  • No RTO allowed within the first two weeks of assignment
  • Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred
  • RTO must be confirmed prior to assignment and cannot be changed after submission except to cancel days requested
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Return staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
  • Testing and education modules are completed prior to start and must be self-reported
  • References from at least two supervisors within the last two years required for consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active CA State License required if applicable
  • ARRT(N), CNMT, NMTCB, and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience required
  • A minimum of 1 year in an acute care setting required
  • Recent experience in specialty area needed within the last 2 years
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • ARRT(R) certification preferred
  • Must pass EKG exam within 3 attempts
