We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will assist in managing workers’ compensation cases and provide vital support to attorneys in preparing and resolving legal matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex legal tasks independently while collaborating effectively with clients and professionals.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct thorough investigations and analyses of workers’ compensation claims, identifying outstanding benefits and creating action plans to address them.
  • Communicate directly with clients, attorneys, court staff, and other relevant professionals to facilitate case progress.
  • Perform legal research and analysis, including reviewing applicable statutes, regulations, and judicial decisions.
  • Draft demand letters and other substantive legal correspondence to support case resolution.
  • Participate in client meetings, as well as discussions with medical providers and vocational rehabilitation counselors, to gather necessary information.
  • Resolve routine legal matters under the guidance of attorneys, including negotiating settlements when appropriate.
  • Maintain and organize a high volume of cases, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping.
  • Utilize case management software to monitor case progress and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including the coordination of discovery materials and other litigation-related tasks.
  • Proven experience in case management, particularly in workers’ compensation or related legal fields.
  • Proficiency in legal research, including analyzing statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Strong skills in drafting legal documents such as demand letters and correspondence.
  • Familiarity with case management software and other legal technology tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
  • Experience in civil litigation, discovery, and trial preparation is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
