A fast-growing company in the chemical manufacturing industry is seeking a QA Manager to lead all quality assurance functions and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and analytical professional with deep experience managing laboratory operations and continuous improvement initiatives. Working cross-functionally, the new leader will enhance product quality and operational consistency by implementing robust QA systems, driving ISO compliance, and leading corrective action teams while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.

Responsibilities : Safety
Oversight of QC laboratory and assurance that the lab adheres to safety, health, and operating policies and procedures.
QC Lab systems
Responsible for the accuracy of tests in the QC laboratory.
Development and effective implementation of new and existing lab systems.
Review and revise as necessary to adapt standard lab QAOP and ELTM’s to the Pasadena Site.
Knows general Good Laboratory Practices regarding documentation, calculations, and following procedures, and how they apply to lab operations.
Continuous improvement of efficiency and lab operations.
ISO management representative
Facilitate annual management review per ISO and requirements.
Manage Internal audit program. Audit to ISO compliance and compliance to identified corrective actions (from failure identification systems QOP 8.5.2).
Identify non-compliance issues and address. Communicate to management as needed.
Identify opportunities for improvement.
Facilitate continuous quality improvement.
Responsible for Customer Complaints system
Ensure complaints are addressed in a timely fashion
Identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Corrective Action Teams
CAT team leader.
Ensure effective corrective action is identified and implemented.
Document CAT team activity and communicate as needed with Steering Committee.
In cooperation with other sections, identify and elevate PIR, Customer Complaints and other failure to CAT level.
Participate in PIR review meetings.
Support studies that will support continuous improvement of products and processes.
Scale-up
Provide analytical review for new products.
Review QC set-up in Chempax .
Review to ensure systems are capable of producing acceptable product and activate Chempax for batch card issuance.
Requirements :
BS Chemistry or better college education
10+ years of quality assurance experience, preferably in a lab environment
Batch experience is a bonus
Experience with lab / testing
Ability to handle high stress in a multi-tasking environment
Good interpersonal skills
