Under general supervision, the Residential Aide will help maintain an efficient and satisfactory work environment at the site. The Residential Aide will perform a variety of office activities to manage and monitor client needs onsite. Direct responsibilities include working with social services staff and security personnel to provide a safe shelter environment for families, interacting with clients, and checking paperwork.
Essential Job Functions :
- Complete and submit new resident arrival packets, exits logs, daily occupancy forms, etc. in accordance with Midway Living, Inc., DHS, and OTDA mandates.
 - Ensure all incidents are logged and filed in the incident binder.
 - Ensure all visitors are properly identified and recorded in the logbook.
 - Maintain all logs (School attendance, ACS, emergency contacts, logbook, shift summaries, etc.).
 - Complete crib audits to assess for “Safe Sleeping” compliance and report findings.
 - Ensure office, office equipment and bathrooms are clean and properly maintained.
 - Compile and submit comprehensive shift summary reports.
 - Collaborate with Security officers to help maintain a safe environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
 - Oversee incident management involving clients, and other Staff, as needed.
 - Conduct Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance with Midway Living Inc., DHS and OTDA mandates.
 - Respond to emergencies in an appropriate and professional manner.
 - Certify that all the Nightly Signature Rosters are being completed on time and accurately.
 - Review incident reports for accuracy, clarity and confirmation of appropriate action taken.
 - Check that all onsite equipment is properly maintained.
 - Empty, clean and prepare units for vacancies (bag and tag client materials where needed).
 - Distribute DHS notices (i.e. 4002 notices, appointment slips, mail, etc.) to residents.
 - Follow up with the delivery of DHS correspondence (i.e. 4002 notices or appointment slips).
 - Conduct unit inspections to ensure a clean and healthy environment for the client.
 - Ensure that all relevant information and documentation has been reviewed with and delivered to the oncoming shift.
 - Report any incidents of any nature to management.
 - Support efforts to place families into permanent housing.
 
Requirements :

High School Diploma or EquivalentValid NYS Security Guard LicenseAbility to interact with the facility staff and client populationWork under pressure and stressful situations
