Engineering Manager

Location : Batavia, IL

Schedule : Full-Time | On-site | Travel

Pay rate : $110k-$130k

Duties :

Design and develop new components, tooling, and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor and related CAD software.

Create 3D models, layout drawings, and detailed manufacturing documentation for internal and customer use.

Review, approve, and release drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and job documentation.

Maintain engineering files, revision control, and BOM accuracy within the ERP system.

Contribute to the development of technical manuals, parts catalogs, and marketing documentation.

Work cross-functionally with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing to support production setup, part sourcing, and job execution.

Inspect and approve manufactured and purchased parts to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Collaborate closely with the shop floor to review designs, troubleshoot challenges, and support rebuild or fabrication projects.

Participate in hands-on prototype builds, measurements, and assembly reviews as needed.

Identify opportunities to improve product design, manufacturability, and serviceability.

Lead innovation efforts in machine design and component development to expand company capabilities.

Support strategic initiatives related to OEM partnerships and new product development.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).

5+ years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, or machine rebuilding (packaging industry experience preferred).

Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD software.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and fabrication processes.

Proven experience managing engineering projects and leading technical teams.

Familiarity with CNC machining, milling, and fabrication equipment.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems for BOM and job management.
