We partner with businesses as well as jobseekers to place individuals into positions efficiently. We are currently in need of a Marine Foreman to join our team in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
Pay Range : $33-36 / hr
- $140 / day per diem for eligible candidates
We are looking for foremen in the following areas of expertise :
Shipfitter, Welder, Electrical, Pipe, Machinist, and Equipment Mechanic
Responsibilities :
Supervising and coordinating all activities on the project site, including crews, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members and ensure the work is completed on schedule and within budget.Enforce safety regulations and protocols on the job site to ensure the safety of workers and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.Conduct regular safety inspections and meetings to address any safety concerns and promote a culture of safety among crew members.Ensure that all work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications, building codes, and engineering drawings.Conduct inspections of completed work and address any deficiencies or issues promptly.Maintain inventory records and oversee the storage and handling of materials on the job site.Prepare and submit reports on labor, materials, equipment usage, and other relevant project information as required.Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, including technical challenges, scheduling conflicts, and personnel issues.Collaborate with project team members to develop solutions and ensure that work proceeds smoothly.Pour, finish, and cure horizontal and vertical concrete projects.Interpret plans and specifications to determine material requirements, dimensions, and installation methods.Cut, assemble, nail, and shape materials using hand and power tools.Demonstrate proficiency in operating a wide range of hand tools.Requirements :
4 years of proven supervisory experience in a shipyard setting.3 years of structural welding experience.Possess a solid understanding of OSHA regulations.Comfortable working at elevated heights and tight spaces when necessary.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Capable of frequent stooping, kneeling, balancing, and crawling.Strong attention to detail.Must pass a drug screen and background check.CTS offers a comprehensive benefit package to eligible employees.
