Job Title : Lead Medical Technologist (or Lead Medical Laboratory Technician)

Summary :

A senior lab professional who performs high-complexity diagnostic tests and oversees operational, quality assurance, and staff-training responsibilities in a clinical lab setting. Acts as lead in supervisor's absence.

Essential Duties :

• Run and validate clinical assays (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, etc.).
• Maintain QC, proficiency testing, and instrument calibration.
• Coordinate staff, schedules, and daily workflow.
• Train and assess technical competency of staff.
• Act as technical contact for troubleshooting and liaising with healthcare teams.
• Develop / maintain SOPs, lead QA projects, and manage accreditation readiness.
• Assist in hiring / evaluations and cover supervisory duties when needed.
