MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF RECENT FREIGHT OR SHIPPING EXPERIENCE IN A WAREHOUSE SETTING

Connect Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Freight Clerk to join a fast-paced logistics operation in Jurupa Valley, CA .

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00am–5 : 00pm, with OT as required

Requirements for Freight Clerk :

  • 1 year of recent freight or shipping experience in a 3PL, distribution, or logistics warehouse environment.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
  • Familiar with Amazon FBA labeling and general freight carrier requirements.
  • Able to accurately apply shipping labels, carton tags, and pallet documentation.
  • Experience operating handheld scanners (PDA) and warehouse management systems (WMS or similar).
  • Forklift or cherry picker certification preferred, or willingness to train and certify.
  • Prior experience in roles such as Freight Associate, Shipping Clerk, LTL Order Processor, Logistics Assistant, Warehouse Coordinator, or Outbound Loader is a big plus!

    • Responsibilities of the Freight Clerk :

  • Apply shipping labels, box content tags, and pallet documentation based on client and carrier guidelines.
  • Build, wrap, and secure pallets using proper configuration, dunnage, and strapping techniques.
  • Upload shipment records including BOLs, pallet photos, and tracking into WMS system.
  • Move staged pallets to loading docks using pallet jacks or forklifts.
  • Communicate with drivers, provide BOLs, and assist with loading and trailer scanning.
  • Report any discrepancies, refusals, or exceptions to the Freight Lead immediately.
