We are seeking a skilled Maintenance / Fabrication Technician to join our team on a direct-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipe mill operations, welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and maintenance. This role requires a hands-on, safety-conscious professional capable of supporting plant operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and equipment reliability.
Core Responsibilities :
Assist in the development and implementation of work procedures, preventive maintenance (PM) programs, and lockout / tagout (LOTO) processes.
Participate in plant downtime, outages, and special projects to ensure efficient operations.
Support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Engage in Root Cause Analysis meetings to identify and resolve process issues.
Participate in safety programs to meet or exceed organizational goals.
Promote and maintain a culture of professionalism and compliance with company policies.
Perform equipment removal, installation, in-house rebuilds, and pipefitting tasks.
Operate welding equipment (stick welding : 7018, 6010, 308, 309, 316SS) and oxy / acetylene torch for fabrication and repair work.
Assist with rigging, hydraulics, and pneumatics as needed.
Maintain records and documentation using SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED required.
Seamless pipe mill experience is highly preferred.
Strong safety awareness and proven ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
Experience in welding, torch burning, rigging, pipefitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment installation / rebuilds.
Familiarity with SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to deliver results through people, technology, and process while adapting to a fast-paced environment.
