WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLER – INCHEM ROCK HILL

    • Warehouse Material Handler Responsibilities ~~ a few of those responsibilities are :

  • Receive all material, machinery, chemicals and supplies.
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival.
  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc.
  • Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and / or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.

    • Warehouse Material Handler Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of relevant warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain sit-down forklift certifications

    • Warehouse Material Handler Shift Schedule – Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
