Position Overview

The Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of control systems for HVAC, chillers, building automation systems (BAS), and boilers. This role requires technical expertise to optimize system performance and ensure efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot control systems for HVAC, chillers, BAS, and boilers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to design and implement control strategies.
  • Respond to service calls for control system issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in control technologies.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls or HVAC systems.
  • Strong understanding of BAS controls, chillers, and boiler systems.
  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
