Staff Engineer II- Purview Admin Engineer

What you'll do :

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview Engineer to join our Microsoft 0365 team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Purview solutions that help govern, catalog, and protect our organization's data assets across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Purview environment including data catalog, classification, and governance policies.
• Develop and maintain data classification and labeling strategies using Microsoft Purview to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Integrate Microsoft Purview with Azure services, data lakes, and enterprise data sources.
• Collaborate with data owners, security teams, and compliance officers to define and enforce data governance policies.
• Automate metadata ingestion and data lineage tracking workflows.
• Monitor Purview health, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
• Provide training and documentation for data governance best practices and Purview usage.
• Stay current with Microsoft Purview updates and cloud data governance trends.
