About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and implement scalable, high-quality data systems at Valo. You will define core data schemas, standardize ingestion workflows, and help lay the foundation for a scalable, governed and FAIR-compliant data platform. This role sits at the intersection of data science and software engineering, with broad exposure to scientific use cases. A key part of your work will be helping make our foundational data platform as self-service as possible, empowering teams to follow best practices without friction.

What You'll Do...

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and ingestion workflows.
• Define and maintain schemas and tables in Snowflake and other systems.
• Create reusable templates for data ingestion processes.
• Build self-service tools and interfaces that help teams access and use data correctly and efficiently.
• Write clean, maintainable and contribute to CI / CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with data science and software engineering teams on shared infrastructure and tooling.
