Job Description

Position Title : Security Assistant - Mid

Reports To : Program Manager

Clearance Type : Active Top Secret / SCI (willing to take CI Poly)

Work Location : Huntsville, Alabama

Start Date : On Contract Award

Advantage SCI is accepting applications to support a federal agency personnel security program. Summary of duties include but not limited to :

• Conducts and interprets database checks and credit reports.
• Provides direct support and service to the administration of the agency's Security Program.
• Provides support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes relating to Personal Security.
• Initiates or performs extensive agency indices checks, arrest record checks, and similar tasks to obtain pertinent and identifying information.
• Recommends the need for polygraph examinations and / or interviews based upon analysis of all data available.
• Composes appropriate communications to internal Divisions and field offices.
• Summarizes all data provided and developed in a formal written analysis of the security concerns and their resolutions.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with other agency offices and officials including members of the IC to obtain, develop, and resolve queries as required.
• Coordinates / works in concert with other agency components as required.
• Performs security assessment investigations and provides recommendations.
• Reviews and analyzes requests for investigations concerning security clearances.
• Prepares a detailed analysis of all information developed, to include potential remedial or precautionary action to meet minimum security standards.
• Assists with briefings and debriefings of individual cases as necessary.

Experience and Skills Required Qualifications Must have a current TS / SCI and be willing to take a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination at the Government's discretion. Bachelor's Degree 3 years of experience Experienced in use of Microsoft Office products. Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills. Experience performing routine office administrative support functions. Demonstrated analytical ability to critically review and analyze various types of incoming material and investigative reports to discern potential security vulnerabilities and to identify viable investigative leads. Proficient computer skills to include : Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Use of Internet to conduct research and / or open-source checks in aid of investigations Working Conditions : Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach Able to sit, stand, walk, run Able to lift up to 50 pounds Advantage SCI, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer Advantage SCI is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
