As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Site Patrol - Part Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will also provide exceptional customer service, interacting with employees and visitors to address concerns and promote a welcoming atmosphere. This armed position requires you to remain alert and proactive, utilizing your training to manage security-related challenges with professionalism and integrity. Pay Rate : $45.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Wed 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sat 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response protocols as required by site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and law enforcement when necessary to address security-related matters.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
