Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to support accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, and financial reporting, along with hands-on experience using SAGE software.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions
• Perform job costing and track project expenses
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare invoices, lien waivers, and progress billings
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain accurate financial records in SAGE
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Communicate with project managers and vendors regarding financial matters

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of construction bookkeeping experience or

an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field

• Experience using SAGE accounting software (required)
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and job costing
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with lien laws and construction compliance
