Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Account Manager to join our Service team and serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customer accounts, focused on Fire & Security systems. You will be responsible for understanding our customer's unique needs and presenting solutions, from initial project requirements to ongoing service, and identifying new sales opportunities. Responsibilities
Prospect for new customers with a main focus on Fire / Security systems to include sales of preventative maintenance agreements.
Foster long-term relationships with end-users, key contractors, and engineers.
Sell Fire / Security service opportunities to owner direct customers.
Meet sales goals and gross profit goals.
Use CRM software to prepare proposals and manage customer communications and activities; track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM.
Conduct site surveys, work with support staff to create preventative maintenance proposals, coordinate labor for best results with service dispatch coordinators, and manage jobs as needed.
Maintain exceptional communication and time management skills in a high-paced customer service environment.
Respond to internal and external phone calls and emails for maximum customer satisfaction and sales.
Estimate solutions per plan / specification requirements and owner-direct opportunities.
Foster collaboration with Field Staff, Project Managers and Administrative teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
Write scope proposals based on estimates including repairs and small projects.
Promote all service offerings to include : mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building automation, fire, security systems, and monitoring.
Advises other groups of additional sales potential and assists with promoting service planned maintenance agreements prior to job closeout.
Approve accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
Attend sales and other required meetings.
Attend monthly safety lunches and perform weekly safety audits to promote a Stay Safe culture.
Identify and communicate process improvements and other opportunities to management.
Visit jobsites and customer sites regularly.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
2+ years of sales or sales-related experience required, preferably within Fire and Security Trades; direct trade experience working in the field is also acceptable.
Experience in commercial door hardware sales is a plus.
Industry related or manufacturer specific certifications is a plus.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of estimating processes and procedures.
Ability to present to both internal and external groups.
Ability to learn and promote other areas of the business.
Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Strong organizational skills to deal with competing customer needs.
Strong demonstrated negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Strong desire to grow professionally and to learn and retain technical information.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for customers.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on emerging technologies in fire and security systems.
Ability to creatively approach and solve complex problems.
Demonstrated ability to identify high-priority tasks, and modify daily workflow as needed.
Commercial door hardware sales / field experience preferred.
Working Conditions
Performance of duties will be in the office, home, customer sites, and job sites as needed.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements are to be expected on job sites.
Climbing ladders / stairs, uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting are to be expected on job sites.

Salary : $80,000 per year base pay plus additional compensation through a commission / incentive program. Position is eligible for an auto allowance and gas card.
