$270,000 to $300,000 per year

Practice full-spectrum family medicine, or opt for a purely outpatient schedule, with the flexibility to choose a track that matches your lifestyle and clinical goals. Set in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, this health system offers the rare blend of academic support, community-based care, and unmatched outdoor recreation. With multiple openings across both clinic and faculty roles, you can find the structure, compensation, and work-life balance you're seeking.

Practice Overview

  • Choose from outpatient-only or core faculty positions
  • Outpatient roles offer optional precepting; faculty positions blend clinic with academic and inpatient weeks
  • OB-focused faculty position available for those with experience or fellowship training
  • Epic EMR, and fully equipped clinics with ultrasound, x-ray, and procedural capacity

Schedule

  • Outpatient track : 4.5-day workweek
  • Faculty track : 70% clinical / 30% academic; 1 week inpatient every other month
  • No call for outpatient-only roles; inpatient and OB call based on faculty rotation
  • Strong institutional support for autonomy and teaching flexibility

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Outpatient roles : $270,000-$300,000 base + RVU bonus
  • Faculty roles : $220,000-$230,000 base salary
  • Sign-on bonus : $30,000; relocation : $20,000
  • 6 weeks PTO (includes CME); $4,000 annual CME allowance
  • State loan repayment eligibility

    • Candidate Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine
  • Interest in outpatient care, academic roles, or OB welcomed
  • Open to physicians with OB surgical fellowship training (FM-OB need exists)
  • Committed to community-based care and rural access initiatives
